Our Visit through Our Nation's First State

We were exited to be in Delaware and to be off of the ferry a little sea sick and definitely hungry. Kelly somehow remembered the location of a mexican restaurant she had once been to before. Whilst making sharp, erratic turns we somehow found the famed mexican restaurant named, Agave. We dined on Super Nachos and more mexican delights. Deeeeelicious!!

We drove some more through the town of Lewes and stumbled upon a Christmas Creature that I had to jump out of the car and take a picture of him.

Our last stop in Delaware was the Fenwick Island Lighthouse. Apparently in years past, there was some sort of conflict between two states as to who owned this lighthouse. If you would like to know more please research it on the internet. We did not have Wi-Fi at that time.

A last minute decision was made to drive straight through the rest of Delaware and through Maryland without stopping in order to make it to Virginia tonight. After stopping at many a hotel, we found one that fit our budgetary needs. YES!!!

We have many activities and states to get through tomorrow so we are off to bed for the night. Stay tuned for more.

I barely remember the name of the restaurant I had dinner last week. How did you remember the name of the restaurant from a state from a trip you took how long ago? Wow. Someone has a real great memory. I've been checking out your posts of your trip and it looks like a ton of fun! I wish I could do a long and winding road trip like that someday. Who knows...maybe next summer will be my Route 66?
