North Carolina………..WHERE THE ?#$&%* ARE WE?!?!?!?!?

Our game plan after the museum was to hit up the only Dunkin Donuts in a fifty mile radius and plan our route for the rest of the day. Whilst there, we decided we did not want to see anything else in NC and planned to either make it to Charleston or Hilton Head South Carolina tonight. When we left the DD it was 3:30 in the afternoon. What seemed like an eternity later we made it to Hilton Head Island at 2:30 AM the next day. Let us tell you about our 11 HOUR trip. Our 2 GPS led us down Hick from Sticks one lane roads where we saw beautiful, luxurious, decorated trailer homes. We’re talking double wide, single wide any kind you can imagine we saw. After not seeing civilization for five hours and eating through half a bag of pretzels, we stumbled upon the Wild Boar. It was like God was sending us a sign to please stop and eat because Lord knows when you are going to see another restaurant. The Wild Boar was delicious. We consumed fried pickles and our second BBQ sandwich of the trip. We hit the road again. At 11 at night salvation came in the form of South of the Border when we knew we were out of that wretched state. We stopped to take some fun photos and grab a quick cola to pep us up for the next three hours- 200 miles. UHHHHH IT WAS HELL!! We then were not able to locate condominium complex in Hilton Head because it was unreachable by one GPS and nonexistent by the other. We visited the beautiful Sea Pines complex and immediately dismissed saying that we did not belong there. We then had to call my brother at 2:30 AM for directions to the correct place. ALLELUIA We made it! SLEEP!

Why is this ginormous statue not in Arizona? Or in California? It seems like it would be more at home here than there. Still, it looks like it would be a fun place to hang out and drink tequila shooters!
