A Couple Hours Later….And still in the same state….LUNCH!

One may ask why we would have lunch only two and half hours after breakfast, but flipping through the book we realized we NEEDED to stop at Doumar’s in Southern Virginia. (www.doumars.com) Two reasons for stopping here:
1. Our first BBQ sandwich of the trip.
2. The birthplace of the ice cream cone.
How could one pass up such opportunity. The prices were exceptionally reasonable and service was at rapid speed but not with a smile. Our drinks and food were served at the same time. We had to use the outhouse in the back to go to the bathroom with a key on a stick. We illegally snuck a picture of the very first ice cream cone machine for your viewing pleasure. Please do not attempt to make this machine at home.
