Day One! Hit the Road!!!

So I left Long Island at 7:30am. I arrived at Eric’s place at 9AM. After a bathroom break and a brief gift exchange we were off wearing the matching outfits…unplanned (see below)! We loaded up the car and shoved the door closed and off we went. We traveled for the next two hours singing our hearts out to such hits as “Single Ladies,” “Everybody Now,” “Altar Boyz,” and our new favorite Christmas song by Straight No Chaser “Twelve Days of Christmas.” Luckily we brought our GPS because we have no agenda and no sense of direction! We are pretty much clueless and geographically challenged!

Wow!!

So we know that Christmas is right around that corner but so is our road trip! The scary part is that nothing is planned out (which is so unlikely for Kelly and myself.) The only thing that is prepared for this road trip is my car "Peter" the Jeep Patriot. He went to the spa the other day and got checked out and had an oil change.

We will be leaving this Sunday and who knows at what time and who knows when we will be back. It is going to be a trip that we will both never forget.

Below is a picture of Peter. Hopefully there will be enough room for everything!!

This is it! The Blog has been created!

So it is official Kelly and I are planning our road trip. It is going to start on December 28th. We are starting out in NJ and making our way down to Savannah, Georgia. Our final destination is going to be the Lady and Sons Restaurant where hopefully we will meet the fabulous Paula Deen! One can only hope. We bought the book, Road Trip USA (www.roadtripusa.com) which is going to help us out on our journey. Wish us luck! Stay tune for more posts.
